TIBET

Known as the "Roof of the World", Tibet is a sacred land of Tibetan Buddhism and a pure territory closest to the sky. Located in the southwestern border area of China and the southwestern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it has an average altitude of over 4,000 meters.
Tibet has a plateau mountain climate, characterized by cold and dry weather, large temperature differences between day and night, strong ultraviolet radiation, and low oxygen levels. Travelers need to make adequate preparations for high-altitude acclimatization. Tibet mainly relies on animal husbandry and tourism, with a strong focus on ecological protection and cultural inheritance. Its natural and humanistic resources are uniquely pure.

Tibet's architecture is full of religious and ethnic characteristics:
- The Potala Palace, a Tibetan-style palace complex built from the Tubo Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, has been inscribed on the World Cultural Heritage List and is a sacred site of Tibetan Buddhism.
- The Jokhang Temple, first constructed in the Tang Dynasty, enshrines the 12-year-old statue of Sakyamuni and holds an exalted religious status.
Among modern buildings, Lhasa Railway Station perfectly combines Tibetan-style aesthetics with modern transportation functions, boasting distinctive features. Must-visit attractions include the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Nam Co Lake. Traditional local delicacies include butter tea, tsampa (roasted barley flour), and air-dried yak meat. Outdoor activities such as trekking around Nam Co Lake and exploring the canyons in Nyingchi allow travelers to experience the purity and sanctity of Tibet.
